Rain in Santa Cruz this Weekend

SANTA CRUZ Calif. (DNR) – Santa Cruz and other parts of the Bay Area can expect rain this afternoon but clearing over night. There is a 50 percent chance of rain today.

There are currently no traffic restrictions on Highway 17.

Expect the clouds to clear Saturday but there is another chance of showers on Saturday night. The National Weather Service says there will be an 80 percent chance of rain Saturday night.

The rain could last though part of Sunday but by Sunday night the clouds should dissipate. Expect sunny weather through Tuesday with another chance of rain Wednesday night.

The winds should be minimal except for Saturday night when they hit 18 mph.
