By Jael on December 28, 2008

tvsetDigital News Report- Most shows are winding down for the winter, but January will see a lot of old favorites return to the airwaves.

Lost will be coming back to ABC on January 31st for it’s sixth season.  Lost has been off the air since the end of last May and viewers were left with many cliffhangers.  Why is Locke going by the name Jeremy Bentham?  Is Jin really dead?  Where (or when) did the island move?

USA will be brining Psych back on January 9th to finish up its third season.  It’s fourth season will begin in the summer.  Psych’s Christmas special aired at the end of November.  Monk will also be premiering it’s next season that evening.

January 8th will be a night filled with premieres for NBC.  The Office, Ugly Betty, My Name is Earl, 30 Rock, and ER will all begin their new seasons that night.

Probably the most anticipated return is Battlestar Galactica on January 16th.  Sci Fi will air the remaining episodes of season four, which marks the end of the show.  A movie called The Plan and a new series called Caprica are in the works.
