Elle King and longtime partner Dan Tooker married in a rustic outdoor ceremony after seven years together and a relationship that included two children and a temporary separation.
Country singer Elle King has officially become a wife after tying the knot with tattoo artist Dan Tooker in an intimate forest ceremony. The 37-year-old performer shared photos and videos from the event on Instagram, captioning her post as “Husband and wife. Best day of my life.”
The couple had been dating for seven years before deciding to marry and they became parents of two children prior to their wedding according to PEOPLE.
Their first child Lucky Levi Tooker was born in September 2021 followed by their second son Royal Tooker in February 2025 according to Us Weekly. Elle and Dan’s outdoor wedding took place on October 3 2026 in a setting that looked like a fairy tale come to life. The bride wore a fitted ivory satin gown with a plunging neckline as well as a flared skirt and long train paired with a sheer veil.
Dan complemented her look in a dark charcoal double-breasted suit matching the style of the ceremony’s rustic theme. Their two sons Lucky and Royal also wore matching suits on the big day.
The couple’s wedding cake was moss green with floral accents and miniature fondant figures of Dan and Elle. They celebrated their special day by singing together and spending time with close friends and family members. The couple met in October 2019 when Elle visited Dan’s tattoo shop for a new design.
They got engaged in 2020 after King had secretly planned to propose during their first-anniversary trip before Tooker surprised her with a similar proposal. After a split in 2023 the pair reconciled and decided to move forward together. Elle told PEOPLE magazine that they had both needed time apart to grow but ultimately chose to give their relationship another chance.
She said the experience taught them that they had everything they ever wanted in each other. The couple’s reconciliation was influenced by their shared love for their children and desire to build a future together. Following their reunion the couple moved into a new home in the mountains near Nashville.
Elle described the house as beautiful and happy and a place where they could start fresh.
The wedding was attended by close friends and family members with no large public celebration. Elle had previously been married to Andrew Ferguson from 2016 to 2017 after the pair secretly wed just weeks after meeting. She also shared a clip of her and Dan exchanging vows and another of them sharing a kiss after the ceremony.
Dan posted videos and photos from the event on his own Instagram Story including a look at their wedding cake and a clip of them walking together with their sons. The couple’s first child Lucky Levi played a role in bringing them back together after their temporary separation. Elle King and Dan Tooker have now officially become husband and wife, marking a new chapter in their relationship.
