LG Display Showcases Latest Proprietary OLED Innovations at CES 2024

At a glance: LG Display wows CES 2024 with new OLED TVs featuring AI processors and high refresh rates, as well as innovative in-car solutions. The updated Alpha 11 AI processor in the LG Signature OLED M4 and OLED G4 TVs delivers four times the performance of previous models, with a 144Hz refresh rate for smoother visuals. The TVs also boast upgraded AI upscaling and a Game Optimizer selection screen for different gaming genres. LG Display also showcased in-car solutions, including a 17-inch Foldable OLED for Rear Seat Entertainment and an 18-inch Slidable OLED hidden in the ceiling. Pricing and availability are yet to be announced, but the 65-inch M4 model is expected to be more affordable than the 77-inch M3.

LG Display unveiled its latest OLED innovations at CES 2024, showcasing a new lineup of OLED TVs with AI processors and high refresh rates, as well as unique solutions for in-car experiences.

The new LG Signature OLED M4 and OLED G4 TVs are equipped with the updated Alpha 11 AI processor, offering four times the performance of last year’s models. This improved AI processor enhances picture and audio quality, providing a 70% improvement in graphic performance and a 30% faster processing. The new OLED TVs also feature a 144Hz refresh rate for smoother gaming and visual experiences.

LG’s new OLED TVs come with upgraded AI upscaling, utilizing precise pixel-level image analysis to effectively sharpen objects and backgrounds. Additionally, LG’s Game Optimizer selection screen allows users to instantly switch between display presets designed for different gaming genres.

LG Display also showcased solutions for in-car experiences, such as the 17-inch Foldable OLED for Rear Seat Entertainment (RSE) and the 18-inch Slidable OLED hidden in the ceiling, which can be extended when needed.

Pricing and availability for LG’s new OLED TVs are yet to be announced. However, the 65-inch M4 model is expected to be more affordable than the 77-inch M3, which retails for $4,999. LG Display continues to push the boundaries of OLED technology with its latest innovations, offering enhanced visual and audio experiences for both home entertainment and in-car environments.
