Emergency Storm Drain Relocation Project Begins in Santa Cruz

Digital News Report – On Wednesday the city of Santa Cruz began begin improvements on the manhole and storm-drains at the intersection of Water Street and Market Street.

Expect delays as Graniterock begins constructing a manhole at the intersection. The company will also replace the storm drains. They will continue working Monday through Friday between 7AM to 3PM until the project is done.

There will be traffic delays eastbound on Water Street as the vehicle lane closest to the sidewalk and bike lane will be closed. The bus stop will also be closed.

Traffic exiting 550 Water Street will be detoured to Leonard Street and to May Street, exiting on Ocean Street.
