Santa Cruz Loch Lomond Recreation Area Closed July 7

By Jim Peterson on July 7, 2011

Digital News Report – The City of Santa Cruz announced that Loch Lomond Recreation Area will be closed on Thursday, July 7, 2011, for maintenance. The park will re-open on July 8, 2011 with the regular hours of operation from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The closure was necessary to work on the lake to improve the water quality. The weather has contributed to the problem. The maintenance crews cannot work on the water when it is open to the public.

The park is open daily starting on March 1 and going through Labor Day. Then they will open on Saturdays and Sundays through October 9, 2011. This is the 2011 park schedule.

The Loch Lomond Recreation Area has the Loch Lomond Reservoir, which offers fishing, boating, and other recreational activities.
