Digital News Report – Amazon announced that they have a new lower priced Amazon Kindle for $114. The catch is that the new ebook reader will have advertisements included. Some of the advertisements are incorporated in their screensavers.
Some of the special offers that will appear on the Amazon Kindle with Special Offers ebook reader includes $10 for $20 Amazon.com Gift Card, or get $6 for 6 Audible Books (normally $68), or
$1 for an album in the Amazon MP3 Store (choose from over 1 million albums) , or $10 for $30 of products in the Amazon Denim Shop or Amazon Swim Shop . Another promotion from Amazon includes a free $100 Amazon.com Gift Card when you are approved for an Amazon Rewards Visa Card (normally $30). Another offer is 50% off Roku Streaming Player (normally $99).
The Amazon Kindle with Special Offers can be pre-ordered and is expected to ship in the US on May 3, 2011. There still is the original Amazon Kindle without the ads for $139, and Amazon Kindle 3G without the ads for $189.
