Compare CD Rates in California

Digital News Report – Bank of America, Chase, Wells Fargo and other banks serve California offering CDs at various rates.

Bank of America was offering CD rates at 0.45% today. The bank required a $1,000 minimum deposit.

Union Bank had a rate of 0.40%. The minimum deposit is only $350.

Chase Bank, which took over many of the Washington Mutual locations, is offering a rate of 0.20 percent. The bank requires a $1,000 deposit.

Wells Fargo bank had the lowest CD rate today. The bank had a rate of 0.15%. The minimum deposit is $2,500.

Finally, Ally Bank had a rate of 1.29% with no minimum deposit. Ally has no monthly fees with daily compound interest for maximum earnings. The deposit is FDIC insured. Ally is known for their high rate certificate of deposits.
