YouTube Symphony Orchestra Auditions now Open

By Victoria Brown on October 18, 2010

Digital News Report – Do you play a musical instrument? Have you ever dreamed of playing at the Sydney Opera House? You just might be able to make your dreams come true because YouTube is now accepting auditions for the YouTube Symphony now until November 28, 2010.

This is the first time that Google’s YouTube has held auditions for the Symphony Orchestra. This year they are going to send the lucky musicians that get selected to Australia’s Sydney Opera House during March 14th – 20th of 2011 to perform with the other participants.

There are two ways to audition. One is with the Orchestra audition and the other is with an improvisation audition. The Orchestra audition is using specific sheet music, while the improvisation audition is your creation to a specific piece of music.

If you are a bit rusty, don’t worry, you can get some free musical instrument lessons from the pros on their YouTube Symphony channel.
