Intel Reports Earnings and Home Depot Sinks

Digital News Report – The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) was up 75.68 points (0.69%) to 11,096.08 Wednesday. Gold was higher along with most other commodities.

Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) dropped more than any other Dow constituent Wednesday. The company announced their third-quarter earnings Tuesday. The company announced revenue was up 18 percent year-over-year with a net income of $3.0 billion and EPS of 52 cents.

The Home Depot, Inc. (NYSE:HD) was down 0.41 (-1.31%) to $31.00. The home improvement retailer has been lower three days in a row but is still up 8.13 percent for the month. The average Dow constituent is up 8.03 percent.
