Google Share Price Spikes In After-Hours

Digital News Report – Stocks were lower Thursday with the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) falling slightly to 11,094.57.

Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) released their Q3 2010 earnings report today. The company says they had revenue of $7.29 billion for the quarter ended September 30, 2010. That is an increase of 23% compared to the third quarter of 2009.

Shares in Google were down during regular trading. The share price sank 2.37 (-0.44%) to $540.93 but in after-hours trading it spiked $47.20 (8.73%) to $588.13.

The average S&P 500 Constituent was down 0.54% today. The Info Tech sector of the S&P 500 was up 0.12 percent today while the index as a whole fell 4.29 points (-0.36%) to 1,173.81.
