Watsonville Parking Issue Sorted Out

Digital News Report – The City Council of Watsonville worked out an agreement at that would allow students and staff of the Institute of Language & Culture (ILC) to park in the downtown area after 5:30 PM. Parking permits would be granted at a discount.

There have been concerns expressed that businesses will suffer by allowing the students and staff to fill up the business parking lot. Various ideas were bandied about including allowing students to park after 5:00 PM and designated parking areas.

Now parking will be allowed for the students and faculty to park in Lot 14 with education permits after 5:30 PM. There will also be some designated 20-minute parking places for the businesses
