The heavy metal legends add 16 spring concerts, including stops in California, Canada and the southeastern United States, before closing their 50th-anniversary tour with two festival appearances.
Iron Maiden will return to North America in spring 2027 for 16 additional performances, extending their 50th-anniversary Run for Your Lives Tour after originally planning to take a break from live shows. The British heavy metal band announced the dates on October 16, confirming that the new concerts will be the final performances of the anniversary tour.
The upcoming run begins April 14 at the Tacoma Dome in Washington and continues through cities in the United States and Canada. It ends with two festival appearances, Sonic Temple in Columbus, Ohio, on May 14 and Boardwalk Rock in Ocean City, Maryland, on May 16.
Founding bassist Steve Harris said the decision followed the enthusiastic reception the group received during its recently completed North American performances. The new itinerary concentrates on regions the band did not visit during its previous run, especially the Northwest and Southeast.
Iron Maiden Changes Plans for 2027
Iron Maiden had expected to spend 2027 away from touring following its extensive anniversary celebrations. However, the band reconsidered after completing successful concerts across the United States and Canada.
In the official announcement, Harris explained that the musicians had discussed returning to areas they previously missed. He said the decision was partly motivated by their appreciation for fans who had supported Iron Maiden throughout its career.
“We can’t get everywhere but we can try!” Harris said.
The bassist also expressed interest in adding more American festival appearances to the tour. Iron Maiden has regularly performed at major European festivals, and the musicians wanted additional opportunities to reach broader audiences in the United States.
The band emphasized that the 2027 performances represent the final extension of the Run for Your Lives Tour. However, the announcement does not mean Iron Maiden is retiring or ending all live performances permanently.
By the end of the tour, the group expects to have played 107 concerts across 36 countries before audiences totaling more than three million people.
Tour Begins in the Pacific Northwest
The opening stretch includes three performances in the Pacific Northwest. Iron Maiden will play Tacoma on April 14, Vancouver’s Rogers Arena on April 16 and Portland’s Moda Center on April 18.
The band then heads south for three California appearances. Shows are scheduled at Toyota Amphitheatre in Wheatland on April 20, North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre in Chula Vista on April 22 and Glen Helen Amphitheater in San Bernardino on April 24.
The western portion of the tour continues with an April 26 concert in Phoenix at Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre. Iron Maiden will then perform at Dos Equis Pavilion in Dallas on April 28.
The May schedule begins with two Florida performances. The band plays Benchmark International Arena in Tampa on May 1 and iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach on May 2.
Additional concerts follow at Lakewood Amphitheatre in Atlanta on May 5 and Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek in Raleigh on May 7.
The final two standalone concerts are scheduled for The Meadows Music Theatre in Hartford, Connecticut, on May 9 and UBS Arena in Belmont Park, New York, on May 11.
Iron Maiden will then headline Sonic Temple on May 14 before delivering the final announced performance of the tour at Boardwalk Rock on May 16.
The itinerary combines indoor arenas with outdoor amphitheaters and festivals. The band confirmed that audiences at its regular concerts can expect the full theatrical production associated with the anniversary tour.
Bullet for My Valentine and The Raven Age Join Tour
Two British metal bands will support Iron Maiden during the standalone North American concerts. Bullet for My Valentine and The Raven Age have been announced as special guests, creating an all-British lineup.
The arrangement is notable because Iron Maiden has not selected a three-band British touring bill of this kind since 1983.
Bullet for My Valentine is preparing to release its album Social Apocalypse on March 19, 2027. The group previously toured North America alongside Trivium and will return to the continent for the Iron Maiden dates.
The Raven Age has an established relationship with Iron Maiden, having supported the band during shows in South and Central America. The group’s guitarist George Harris is the son of Iron Maiden bassist Steve Harris.
The supporting acts will give audiences additional performances before Iron Maiden takes the stage. Festival lineups and schedules are managed separately by the respective event organizers.
Eddie and Full Stage Production Will Return
Iron Maiden’s concerts are known for elaborate visual presentations that incorporate artwork from the band’s albums. The 2027 dates will continue that tradition with the return of Eddie, the group’s longstanding mascot.
Eddie has appeared in various forms during Iron Maiden’s performances for decades. His changing appearances reflect the imagery associated with albums including The Number of the Beast, Powerslave and Somewhere in Time.
The Run for Your Lives Tour focuses on the band’s first nine studio albums, celebrating music released between 1980 and 1992. The production combines familiar songs, elaborate lighting, video imagery and theatrical stage elements.
The anniversary performances have also featured material that Iron Maiden had rarely played during more recent tours. That approach has allowed longtime followers to hear songs associated with the group’s earlier decades.
The band will also bring back Eddie’s Dive Bars, temporary fan gathering places that offer themed drinks, merchandise and opportunities for concertgoers to meet before performances.
Manager Rod Smallwood said the fan gatherings contributed to the atmosphere of the recent North American tour. He described the audiences as spanning multiple generations and credited their enthusiasm with encouraging the band to add more concerts.
The new dates continue a period of significant activity for Iron Maiden, which began its anniversary celebrations in 2025. The tour has attracted large audiences while revisiting the music that established the group internationally.
Ticket Presales Begin October 19
Members of the Iron Maiden Fan Club will receive access to the first ticket presale beginning Monday, October 19, at 10 a.m. local venue time.
Additional presales are scheduled throughout the week. General public ticket sales begin Friday, October 23, at 10 a.m. local time for the regular tour dates.
Fans can also purchase VIP packages that include reserved seating, access to the official TROOPER pre-show party and exclusive merchandise. Prices and package availability vary by location.
The two festival performances have separate ticketing arrangements. Fans planning to attend Sonic Temple or Boardwalk Rock should consult each festival’s official website for ticket information.

Anniversary Tour Marks More Than 50 Years of Iron Maiden
Iron Maiden formed in London in 1975 under the leadership of Steve Harris. The group became one of the defining bands of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, developing an international following through recordings and extensive touring.
Its catalog includes influential albums such as The Number of the Beast, Piece of Mind, Powerslave and Seventh Son of a Seventh Son. Songs including The Trooper, Run to the Hills and Fear of the Dark have remained central to the band’s live reputation.
Iron Maiden’s longevity has been especially notable given its limited mainstream radio exposure in the United States. Despite that history, the band continues to attract large audiences at arenas, amphitheaters and stadiums.
The group was also named among the 2026 inductees into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, adding another milestone to its anniversary year.
Smallwood said the recent North American performances included some of the band’s biggest concerts on the continent. The strong attendance and enthusiastic reception helped persuade the musicians to extend the tour one final time.
The April 14 opening in Tacoma will begin the last scheduled chapter of Run for Your Lives, with the May 16 Boardwalk Rock appearance marking the tour’s announced finish.
