Country music star Lainey Wilson has been named as the host for the 60th Annual CMA Awards. This marks her third straight year hosting the event and her second year as the sole host.
The award show will take place on November 18 from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, according to UPI. It will be broadcast live on ABC and Disney+ with a Hulu release the following day.
Wilson shared her excitement about hosting again, especially for the 60th anniversary of the awards, according to a report from Rolling Stone. She said she had enjoyed hosting the event over the past two years and that this one would be particularly special.
The announcement came during ESPN’s College GameDay broadcast from Louisiana State University, celebsecrets.com reported. This event was part of the 500th edition of College GameDay, which took place in Wilson’s home state. Before revealing her hosting role, Wilson was also featured as a celebrity guest picker for the Week 1 slate.
The nominees for this year’s CMA Awards will be announced on Good Morning America on Thursday, September 10. Tickets for the event go on sale via CMAworld.com/tickets on Friday, September 18.
This year’s show will also honor the legacy of Dolly Parton, who was the first female to host the CMA Awards in 1988. Wilson is a 12-time CMA Award winner, including Entertainer of the Year in 2025.
She previously co-hosted with Luke Bryan in 2024 before taking on the role solo in 2025.
