Country singer Kane Brown has shared details about a new musical collaboration with Shania Twain, describing it as a fresh take on one of her most recognized songs. He explained during an interview that the track is not a remake but rather a completely new song that uses some of Twain’s original melodies. Brown said he was approached by others about connecting with the Grammy winner after hearing his demo of the song.

He recalled that people in the green room mentioned Twain wanted to get in touch with him, according to Billboard. They met up and discussed the project further before finalizing the collaboration. Brown confirmed that Twain’s approval was necessary for the song to move forward.

He also announced the release date for the new track on Friday, September 4th. Before the official release, Brown performed a preview of the song during his concert in Council Bluffs, Iowa. The original version of the song that inspired this new one was titled ‘Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under’.

It appeared on Twain’s album The Woman In Me and peaked at number eleven on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart in 1995. Brown has had a successful run in country music, with twelve No. 1 hits on the Country Airplay chart. His most recent single, ‘Woman,’ reached the top five on Country Airplay.

The new version of the song is being described as a romantic and devoted reimagining of Twain’s classic. Brown emphasized that while the melodies are familiar, the overall sound and feel of the track are different. He added that the collaboration came about through a series of conversations and meetings between himself and Twain.

The song is expected to be a unique blend of both artists’ styles. Listeners can expect an emotional and modern twist on the original. Brown’s fans have been eagerly anticipating this new release since he first teased it.

The collaboration is part of Brown’s ongoing effort to bring fresh energy to classic country themes. He has previously worked with many well-known names in the industry and continues to build his reputation as a versatile artist. The preview of the song during his concert gave fans a taste of what’s to come from this special project.

Brown’s performance in Iowa was part of the Stir Concert Cove event at Harrah’s Council Bluffs Casino & Hotel. The release date is Friday (Sept. 4), giving fans a specific time to look forward to. Twain’s original version of the song remains a fan favorite from her early career.

Brown’s version is expected to offer a new perspective on the classic theme of love and heartbreak. This collaboration marks another milestone in Brown’s growing list of chart-topping hits. It also highlights the continuing influence of Shania Twain within country music culture.

The song is expected to resonate with both longtime fans and newer listeners alike. Brown’s approach to reworking classic material shows his respect for the genre’s history while pushing it forward. The project is being promoted with a preview that was shared during his live performance.

It’s clear that both artists are excited about the direction their collaboration has taken. This new song is being positioned as a modern interpretation of Twain’s iconic work. Fans are likely to hear more about the song in the coming days as its release nears.
