Andrés Chaparro homered in the fourth inning for Washington, followed by Brady House’s go-ahead three-run shot in the sixth that gave the Nationals a lead. The Nationals’ 179 home runs this season are the most in the majors and the highest total for the team since 2021. The Mets’ win was part of a larger pattern, as they have gone 5-5 over their last ten games and are 33-28 on the road this season, according to a report from heavy.com.
