Laurel Street Construction to improve Pedestrian access has begun

Digital News Report – Santa Cruz will have newly improved pedestrian access along Laurel Street once the construction project is completed in around three weeks. In the meantime, the construction process could cause delays warns the Santa Cruz Public Works Department.

There roadwork will consist of removal of existing striping. There will be slurry seal applied along with some patching of road damage a little past Felix and Blackburn. The road construction project will add a new pedestrian island installed and ramps. There also will be new striping placed at Felix and Blackburn for left turn pockets.
