Verizon adds E! HD channel to FIOS and Expands Service Areas

Digital News Report – Verizon FIOS TV is adding E! HD channel to their service. The high-definition version of the celebrity and fashion themed channel is a continuation of the company’s expansion of service. Additionally, Verizon has expanded FIOS TV areas on the East Coast.

Subscribers of FIOS TV will be able to watch the E! HD channel starting today. It is on Channel 696 for the HD version. The standard definition format of E! is on Channel 196.

Verizon FIOS service has been recently added to areas of Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. The company estimates that 2.2 million people would be able to subscribe to FIOS TV in these areas.

FIOS TV currently offers their subscribers over 540 channels in all-digital format. Out of these there are over 140 HD channels. The service also has video-on-demand with over 30,000 titles in this library.
