Digital News Report – Apple announced that they have reached 15 billion downloads at the App Store™. The company said there are 200 million users that have either the Apple iPhone, Apple iPad, or Apple iPod, and use the App Store.
Apple has over 425,000 apps at their store for all their devices available for downloading. They have over 100,000 that were developed specially for the Apple iPad.
The App Store is only three years old. The 200 million users include customers in 90 countries. As a group, third party developers have earned $2.5 billion so far from Apple App Store sales.
