Digital News Report – Charlie Sheen is going to be roasted on Comedy Central this September. The taping of ‘Comedy Central: Roast of Charlie Sheen,’ will occur on September 10, 2011 in Los Angeles. The network will then air the roast on September 19, 2011, at 10 P.M. ET/PT on Comedy Central.
Charlie Sheen has been in the media spotlight for his partying, and his public squabble with ‘Two and a Half Men’ TV show executives. Sheen has since been let go from his acting on ‘Two and a Half Men.’ Sheen continued to try to remain in the spotlight by putting together a tour based on his thoughts and humor, which was met with mixed reviews.
Sheen said in a statement, “You could say I’ve been providing kindling for this Roast for a while. It’s time to light it up. It’s going to be epic.”
He just might be right, who knows how far this roast will go. Kent Alterman, head of original programming and production, COMEDY CENTRAL said, “Charlie has assured us that nothing will be off limits in this Roast… which scares even us.”
