Safeway Recalls Salads and Kabobs

Digital News Report – Safeway has recalled their edibles containing grape tomatoes in California. The products may be contaminated with salmonella.

Taylor Farm’s kabobs with cubed meat included those tomatoes. Packaged café salads and deli salads with the contaminated products.

They were available at Safeway stores, Vons, and Vons Pavilions. There are several Safeway stores in the Santa Cruz and Watsonville areas.

So far there have been no reports of illness, but Salmonella can be deadly and can cause serious illness. The symptoms include diarrhea, nausea and fever. Vomiting and abdominal pain may also accompany those symptoms.

The items were sold between April 26, 2011 and May 3, 2011.
