Digital News Report – Advertising is really expensive for the Super Bowl and for 2011, it will cost advertisers around $2.9 million to have it appear on the big game airing. According to a Media Week advertising trade journal 60 percent of Americans are sports fans. Many people do however watch the Super Bowl just for the new ads that are often debuted during the game.
Some companies have been airing previews of the ad online before the big day. Bridgestone Tires, for instance has previewed two videos online. One is a beaver moving a branch into the roadway and leaving a cliffhanger to find out what happens when they air the ad on Super Bowl Sunday.
According to People Magazine and other entertainment news reports pop star Justin Bieber will be in a commercial produced for Best Buy along with rock legend Ozzy Osbourne. They aren’t explaining what the Super Bowl ad will be about yet.
Salesforce.com will have Black Eyed Peas front man will.i.am. The Black Eyed Peas are also performing during the halftime show this year.
According to the trade journal, Media Week, the Super Bowl ads will be big for car advertisements. They said that BMW is back after not participating in 10 years. General Motors will be advertising the Chevy brand as well.
I guess we will have to wait to see this year’s 2011 Super Bowl Ads until they make their big debut on February 6th when the big game is aired on FOX.
