Adobe announce Free Open Source tools for Adobe Flash Platform

Digital News Report – Custom media players on your website may become easier with the new tools that are being released to the open source market by Adobe Systems Inc. The two new open source tools that come in the Adobe Flash Platform and the Open Source Media Framework (OSMF) and the Text Layout Framework (TLF).

The OSMF and TLF are now available for free as open source software. Website developers will be able to create custom video playback applications for their websites with the OSMF tools. The TLF tools will help with typography in their websites.

You can get the free OSMF source code at www.OpenSourceMediaFramework.com. You can get TLF for free at http://opensource.adobe.com/wiki/display/tlf/.
