Google announces Free Wi-Fi on Airline Flights this Holiday Travel Season

By Victoria Brown on November 8, 2010

Digital News Report – Google is offering up free Wi-Fi access on every domestic flight on AirTran, Delta and Virgin America between November 20, 2010 through January 2, 2011. Google calls the service Gogo Inflight Wi-Fi.

This a repeat from last year’s popular response to the free holiday Wi-Fi that was offered. You need to bring your own Wi-Fi enabled device, which could be a laptop or netbook computer. Even some mobile phones have Wi-Fi support.

Google announced their partnership at www.freeholidaywifi.com as well as on their Official Google Blog. At the end of their announcement they suggest that they can download and try out Google Chrome web browser.
