Digital News Report – Brittany Murphy’s husband, Simon Monjack, died this past Sunday at their home in Hollywood. Murphy passed away unexpectedly five months earlier from complications relating to pneumonia, an iron deficiency and multiple drug intoxication. Monjack is believed to have died from natural causes, but the L.A. Police had investigators at the scene to investigate if there was any foul play. Monjack was reported to be 39 years old.
According to a report by People, Monjack’s mother said back in January that her son was not well and that doctors were conducting tests to determine the problem. Monjack had a small heart attack when returning from a trip from Puerto Rico around the time of Murphy’s death.
Murphy’s mother had called 911 on Sunday night at 9:30 p.m., when she found Monjack was unresponsive. The L.A. Fire department arrived to pronounce that he was dead.
Monjack was a British screenwriter that married Brittany Murphy in 2007.
