By Victoria Brown on April 19, 2010

Digital News Report – A boy was lucky to avoid a laptop computer that fell out of a medical helicopter in St. Cloud, Minnesota last Saturday night. The ten-year old was at a family barbecue when a laptop landed only inches from him.

Grayson Peterka told local news station WCCO, that he heard a helicopter going by and it was was flying low to the ground. The helicopter made a turn and that was when the laptop computer fell out and landed on the ground. He said that the laptop crashing into the ground sounded like a gunshot. His aunt had also heard the load noise as well.  They retrieved the badly broken laptop and contacted the medical helicopter company to return what was left of it.

According to the report the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will be investigating this event.
