Digital News Report – Although police are still investigating the plane crash and have not revealed much information, there is some information circulating through the web that may help shed some light on the disaster (see link below).

Apparently a Texan named Joseph Andrew Stack crashed his Piper Cherokee into an Austin Texas building that houses offices for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Stack, a 53-year old software engineer, may have burned his house before running his plane into the multi-story building. One report says that his wife and daughter were rescued from the home.

Apparently Stack made some internet postings before committing suicide. Officials are adamant that this was not a terror attack but was the act of one person. Fox is reporting that F-16s are patrolling the crash area.

The authorities have removed Stack’s internet tirade against the IRS today. “This website has been taken offline due to the sensitive nature of the events that transpired in Texas this morning and in compliance with a request from the FBI.” We have the original Joseph Stack message in its entirety posted here.
