Doomsday Clock gets Moved Back One Minute

By Victoria Brown on January 14, 2010

Digital News Report – I guess the world is less in trouble now from meltdown according to The Doomsday Clock organization. They moved the clock back one minute which now makes the current time 6 minutes before midnight.

The reason for the The Bulletin of Atomic Scientists to change the time back was due to the “new era of cooperation is a change in the U.S. government’s orientation toward international affairs brought about in part by the election of (U.S. President Barack) Obama.”

So maybe President Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize was a good step of faith that he will improve international diplomacy after all.
