Digital News Report – Building on a 25-year partnership, Hewlett-Packard and Microsoft announced Wednesday to work together on a three-year $250 million partnership to simplify IT environments. This will help business of “all sizes”, according to HP.

This is an effort to move businesses towards “cloud computing.” Cloud Computing is an Internet based technology where users don’t need expertise to understand the infrastructure.

This should improve efficiency and performance of operations, according to the companies. This should lower the “cost of ownership, enabling customers to deploy systems with confidence”.
