Digital News Report- The long discussed Rush Limbaugh billboards have finally made their debut in West Palm Beach, FL today, sponsored by the Democratic National Committee.  The mobile billboard, which reads “Americans Didn’t Vote for a Rush to Failure,” will be traveling around Limbaugh’s hometown of West Palm Beach on Tuesday and Wednesday, according to the DNC.

Limbaugh caused a stir with his statement that he wanted President Barack Obama to fail.  The White House responded and Obama stated that people, “can’t just listen to Rush Limbaugh.”  Cable news and the blogosphere soon exploded with commentary on the ongoing exchange.  Limbaugh’s radio show then sky rocketed to number 1 in several markets.

Limbaugh seemingly invited the attacks. “I would be honored if the Drive-By Media headlined me all day long,” he said.  “’Limbaugh: I Hope Obama Fails.’ Somebody’s gotta say it. …”  Since then, the exchanges between Limbaugh, journalists, and the White House have been almost daily.
