By Victoria Brown on May 19, 2011

Digital News Report – This week has the strangest news headlines. It is almost as if we have entered into another dimension. The leading news stories this week are sometimes silly, sometime shocking, and just leave you wondering why?

A child named Like, the End of the World, Planking, and the Man who ate 25,000 Big Macs are just a few of the stories churning this week. Former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger fathered a child with his house help some 14 years ago. In addition, what about the mom that went on TV to explain how she gave her child Botox treatments so the girl could win beauty contests. These stories have some surprising story endings and some are just getting started.

A child named Like

Why did an Israeli couple name their child Like? It turns out that they wanted to pay tribute to the ‘Like’ button on Facebook. However, they are not alone in this quest for weird baby names. In February of this year, another couple in Egypt named their child Facebook as a tribute to the social networking that occurred during the riots in this country. Will the children want to change their names?

Planking

Planking made the news big time after an Australian man died from a stunt trying to do the plank pose on a balcony railing and fell to his death. Planking has become a craze in Australia but has spread throughout the world. People take pictures and videos of themselves doing the plank position in different situations then post them online at “planking” websites. So next time you see someone lay on the ground looking like a plank, you might understand that they are trying to have their moment of fame. This worries the Australian police officials because people may try to do planking in dangerous situations that could cause more deaths.

Man eats 25,000 Big Macs at McDonalds

A man from the Midwest has eaten 25,000 Big Mac hamburgers at McDonald fast food restaurants. He is lucky because he is not fat, he does not have health problems, and he has normal cholesterol numbers. I think just about every man wishes he could get away with eating burgers like this guy does. Did he really do this? Maybe this story if full of burgers or something else – case in point, read the story below about the mom and the Botox child.

End of the World is May 21, 2011

According to Harold Camping, the start of the end of the world is on May 21, 2011. Camping said that earthquakes would shake the world like never before. Then five months later the end of history like we know it is going to happen. If you are lucky, you will be spared the miserable times ahead if you are picked up in the rapture that going to happen this Saturday. Camping predictions are based on Bible verses and his interpretations. We will find out Saturday if he was right or not.

Arnold Schwarzenegger getting a divorce from wife

His wife Maria Shriver has filed for divorce from Arnold Schwarzenegger. Even that was shocking news in itself, but then the news reports are now saying that he had an affair over a decade ago in which he is the father of a child with another woman. The woman was the family’s housekeeper, and allegedly had Schwarzenegger’s child who is 13 or 14 years old and lives with the mother in Bakersfield. Nevertheless, this story has just got started. Actress, Jane Seymour, told CNN that she thinks that there are more children that he fathered outside of his marriage with other women.

Mother gives Botox to child

First of all anyone that is not a doctor approved to do Botox treatments is breaking the law. However, a mother went on camera to show how she does Botox treatments to her child to get her ready for beauty pageants. After social services came to investigate, she said that the whole thing was a fake. She was initially paid money from a tabloid newspaper to say that she did Botox treatments and she never had her child in beauty contests. She used a fake name in the news and doctors later confirmed that the child never had Botox. She had her child taken away until the whole mess is cleared up. Therefore, I guess the money made her do it, but in a different way then what we first perceived.
