Luke Littler has claimed his sixth European Tour title by winning the Czech Darts Open. He ended Luke Humphries’ reign at the tournament with an 8-6 win in the final. This marked Littler’s return to the European Tour after missing eight consecutive events. The tournament was held at the PVA EXPO in Prague from September 4-6.
The match was tight, with Humphries taking a lead before Littler pulled ahead, according to The Sun. Littler’s performance in the final was marked by key throws and a strong finish under pressure. Humphries had a chance to force a deciding leg with two darts at double 16 but missed both attempts. Littler then hit double 10 to secure the championship. Sky Sports reported that Littler hit five 180s and averaged just over 95 in the final.
The victory was especially meaningful for Littler, who had not competed in the European Tour for several events. He opened his campaign with a win over Niko Springer, who made the match difficult. Littler beat Springer 6-4 while producing an average of 108.6. Littler then beat Krzysztof Ratajski 6-3, continuing his strong form.
He advanced through the quarter-finals and semi-finals. Littler whitewashed Danny Noppert 6-0 in the quarter-finals. In the semi-final, Littler defeated Michael van Gerwen. He beat the Dutchman 7-3 while averaging 106.6 to earn his place in the championship match.
Humphries was the No. 2 seed and entered the tournament as the two-time defending champion and a three-time Czech Darts Open winner. He had won the Prague tournament in 2022, 2024 and 2025. The final was a match that saw both players going at it in a final, once again. It was also the first time Littler and Humphries had faced each other in a European Tour final.
Littler said he was happy to be back, declaring after the victory, “It’s good to be back and I’m back with a bang.” Humphries, despite the loss, remained gracious and acknowledged Littler’s strong play. Humphries called Littler a “fantastic player” and said he needed to keep improving to match him in future finals.
The prize money for the event was distributed with Littler taking home £35,000. Humphries received £15,000 for finishing as runner-up.
The tournament’s prize fund totaled £230,000. Littler is now guaranteed a place in the European Championship in Dortmund. The championship will take place at Westfalenhalle from October 22-25 and features the top 32 players from the European Tour Order of Merit.
He said he was happy with his return to competition and expressed uncertainty about his future schedule. After securing his Dortmund qualification, Littler suggested he might not play the remaining regular European Tour events, saying his schedule would depend on how busy he is. The Czech Darts Open showcased top-level darts with several notable performances.
Beau Greaves also made history by becoming the first woman to win a match on the Euro Tour. Greaves defeated Daryl Gurney 6-4 in the opening round after recovering from a 3-1 deficit. Humphries ended her run with a 6-2 victory in the second round. Littler’s win was a strong statement after returning to the European Tour following a period of absence.
He has now added another title to his growing list of achievements. The victory was also Littler’s 30th PDC tournament title overall, according to The Sun.
Littler’s performance marked a successful return to the European stage. His victory in Prague marks a successful comeback after missing eight events from the tour.
The tournament concluded with Littler’s name on the trophy and Humphries left to reflect on the result. Littler’s win also sets up expectations for his next appearance.
He is now aiming for the European Championship in Dortmund, a televised major he has yet to win. His performance in Prague showed he rose to the occasion.
