Rob Gronkowski made an effort to help his former New England Patriots teammate Julian Edelman find a romantic connection at Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s wedding. The former tight end and current Fox NFL analyst appeared on TODAY on August 13 with his girlfriend Camille Kostek. They brought Edelman along to the event held in July at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The group tried to introduce Edelman to single women among the star-studded guest list. Gronkowski described how Edelman seemed unsure of who was who in the crowd. He said they attempted to play matchmaker but were unsuccessful. Still, Gronkowski noted that Edelman didn’t need any help finding love.
Gronkowski brought his signature enthusiasm to the dance floor at the wedding, according to nbcsandiego.com. He said the energy on the dance floor was excellent and that the entire event was well organized, according to a report from today.com. Gronkowski added that it was hard to imagine a better picture of how the night went down.
The event also featured a reunion of sorts with another former teammate, Tom Brady. Travis Kelce made his first public comments about the wedding during a press conference on August 12 at the Kansas City Chiefs’ training camp. He said that the time since the wedding had been a fun one for him.
Details about the wedding have been limited due to attendees signing non-disclosure agreements. The couple had both worn white at their ceremony and each wrote their own vows, The Guardian reported. The wedding took place in a garden-themed setting described as secret.
Family members have shared only brief remarks about the event. The wedding occurred on July 3 in front of an estimated 1,100 guests. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce had made their relationship public two years prior to the wedding. They became engaged in August 2025.
No official photos from the event have been released yet. Gronkowski said the night was chaotic but memorable in its own way. He emphasized that he took away only the experience of a very special evening.
