Obama to appear on Jay Leno’s The Tonight Show

By Greg Cook on March 16, 2009

President Obama is scheduled to appear on Jay Leno’s The Tonight Show on Thursday, marking the first time that a US President has appeared as a guest on the show.  Presidential candidates have appeared on many late night shows in the past, but this is the first time that a serving US President has done so.

The pre-recorded show will be part of Obama’s trip to California to promote and discuss his economic plan.  The President will also be holding a town hall meeting on Wednesday in Costa Mesa and touring an electric vehicle factory in Pamona.
