Digital News Report – On today’s ‘Dr. Oz Show’, viewers were shown simple ways to boost metabolism. First Dr. Oz shared a seven-day plan that would help to increase a person’s metabolism. The second segment discussed supplements and foods that could be used to help increase metabolism and help you lose weight faster. The third segment on the TV show was about inexpensive ways to conceal the appearance of cellulite.
On the first segment on the TV show, Dr. Oz explained that as we age we lose muscle and gain more fat every year. After 40 years of age our metabolism slows down around 5 percent every decade explained Dr. Oz. It becomes easier to gain weight and more difficult to lose it. Dr. Oz shared seven thing that a person can do to increase metabolism and burn more fat and calories.
Dr. Oz’s Seven Day Metabolism Boost Plan
First step is to check your metabolic rate with a calculator said Dr. Oz. The calculator is on this website and will help a person find the number of calories they burn each day based on their height, and weight. You can eat the allotted calories and you will not gain weight. If you are gaining weight, eating the amount of calories determined on the calculator he suggested that something else might be going on.
Cut 100 calories from the diet every day. Dr. Oz explained that when you cut too many calories your body would slow down the metabolism in a response to possible starvation.
Add protein to the diet because it might help to increase metabolism. Dr. Oz said that the body would burn twice as many calories digesting protein than it would be to digest carbohydrates. He suggests eating fish two times a week.
Eat every three hours in order to keep the metabolism going and to possibly eat less in the long run. Start the day out with breakfast almost immediately after waking up in the morning. Then eat a snack at 10 am. Next, eat lunch at noon. Have another snack at 3 pm. Then eat your dinner between 5 – 7. You are not supposed to eating anything after 8. Dr. Oz said that a snack would be a handful of pistachios and apricots. He said that a study found that people who ate 250-calorie snacks three times a day would eat less food during the main meals.
Dr. Oz suggests drinking three ice drinks a day. The ice cold drink in the stomach forces the body to have to re-warm the contents burning more calories. He said that doing this step might help a person to lose a pound in a year.
Take a 12 MG Zinc supplement daily in order to eat less. Doctor Oz said that Zinc would help control Leptin levels. The zinc will help you to feel fuller because it helps with the Leptin hormone.
Exercise in bursts was the last step Dr. Oz recommended to boost metabolism. He said to stand up from the chair without using your hands. Do these exercises after you have eaten a bad meal. It will help burn through the calories faster by activating your leg muscles.

The appearance of cellulite can often get worse as we age because the tissues that hold the fat in can get rigid, while the skin can get thinner. Here are some of the affordable solutions to help fight cellulite.
Look for creams that contain caffeine as an ingredient. The caffeine will help tighten up the skin to make it look smoother.
What kind of underwear you wear could be making cellulite worse. He suggests wearing underwear without elastic bands. The elastic can cause restriction.
The last option is conceal cellulite is to make a facial mask to use on the legs. He mixed up seaweed, clay, limejuice, and honey and then he said to apply to the cellulite. Next, let the mask sit for 25 minutes. In order to keep it in place, put plastic wrap around the legs. The mask will help to reduce puffiness on the skin. It can also make the skin smoother. This might help to reduce the appearance of cellulite.
