Digital News Report – Carnival has reached a milestone of getting 1 million users to like their Facebook page. Carnival Cruise Lines held a contest that will be ending on July 5, 2011. This sweepstakes got them 300,000 Facebook ‘likes’ in the last two months alone.
Carnival launched their Facebook fan page in 2007. They have used the social networking website in May to introduce their Carnival Magic ship. On May 1, 2011, the company had posted 11 different video documenting the launch of the ship.
Carnival Cruise Lines also has a Twitter presence and a Flickr account. The company’s main website is carnival.com.
