Digital News Report – If you have been wanting to start using grocery coupons and you have been finding that you aren’t using them or are overwhelmed with too much to do, then you should consider starting small. Even if you save five or ten dollars a month it can add up to between $60 – $120 per year in savings. Typically the easiest way to use grocery coupons to save money is with cereal coupons.

Why Cereal Coupons?

Cereal coupons often offer a good discount and they often have sales on the cold cereals. You can purchase the cereal and it has a long shelf life, which means you can stock up when the price is low and save a good sum of money.

There seems to always be cereal coupons in the grocery coupon section of the newspaper. You should watch for your favorite brands and clip them out. Sometimes the cereal coupon has buy on and get $1 off and other times you have to buy multiple units of the brands listed.

You can find cereal coupons printable online for no cost. This can be another source for finding a deal. If you don’t get the Sunday newspaper you can always look online for free cereal coupons from General Mills, Kelloggs, and Post Cereal brands. One online source for coupons is Smartsource coupons which is at smartsource.com.

You can also get cereal coupons when you check out in the grocery store, and sometimes stores will have coupon dispensers at the cereals. So be alert to these coupons and collect them. If the cereal isn’t on sale now, it may be in the next couple of weeks, and you can save extra money with the coupon and the lowered price.

Other kinds of Free Grocery Coupons

You should also consider products that you know that you will use such as toothpaste and deodorant. If you watch for sales on these items and use the coupons you can often get stocked up for a fraction of the price. Sometimes you might even get the product free or next to free.

Beauty product coupons can help offset the cost of stocking up your supplies. If you color your hair you can save several dollars off a home kit.

As you expand your grocery coupon usage, you will learn how to better organize your coupons and utilize them for maximum benefit.
