Digital News Report – Actor George Clooney is urgently working to put on a special telethon by January 22nd to raise money for victims of the earthquake in Haiti.
The disaster is horrific and water is in short supply. The dead bodies might lead to disease and even more suffering.
Publicist Stan Rosenfield told the New York Times that the actor is working hard to meet the January 22nd deadline. “We don’t know where we’re doing it,” Rosenfield said. “We don’t know who’s booking the talent. This is all going to be done in the next seven days.”
