The Duggars Add Another

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, soon to be grandparents

Digital News Report- The Duggar’s are having another baby!  Only this time Michelle isn’t the one pregnant.  Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are expecting their first grandchild through their eldest son, Josh, and his wife Anna.  The couple first found out they were expecting in February, but didn’t announce it publicly until today’s episode of The Today Show.  It’s still uncertain whether or not they will continue with the Duggar naming theme of having every child’s name begin with “J”.  Anna once joked that they “haven’t picked a letter yet.”  The baby is due shortly before Halloween.

The Duggar family, made popular by their TLC reality show, has a total of 18 children.  Their most recent child, Jordyn-Grace Makiya, was born via C-section last December and was the subject of special that aired a few days later on TLC.

The Duggars follow the Quiverfull movement, which views children as a blessing from God that should not be controlled by any form of birth control, including natural family planning.  They believe that family size and the timing of pregnancies should be determined by God.

Michelle has apparently given Anna all sorts of tips on how to get through the pregnancy such as how to quell morning sickness.  After 16 pregnancies, she can safely be considered an expert on the topic.   As Anna and Josh also follow the Quiverfull movement, Anna may have her own tips to swap in a few years.  And maybe she’ll get her own TLC reality show to boot.

Josh and Anna own a car dealership in Springdale, Arkansas.  They’ve been married since September.  Their courtship was prominently featured during the first season of their regular TLC show, 17 Kids and Counting.  The third episode documented their engagement and the second season, now called 18 Kids and Counting, started with wedding preparation and an hour-long special devoted to the ceremony.  The couple kissed for the first time at their wedding.
